Bicester Outlet Village
This chic outlet shopping village is the most famous shopping center in Oxfordshire. Less than an hour away from Bruern Cottages, the outlet has spacious boutiques, nice restaurants and coffee shops.
With more than 130 top-name boutiques like The White Company, Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren or Cath Kidston and Chloe, it will be an ideal day out for shopping lovers.
Open every day and even on bank holidays, the shops have very attractive prices, up to 60% less than the RRP.
Daylesford Farm Shop
Daylesford Farm Shop, just 6 minutes drive from Bruern Cottages, is The Fortnum & Mason of the Cotswolds; somewhat pricey but it does sell high quality organic produce and is well worth a visit. Their fresh bread and patisserie, however, is reasonably priced. Their on-site café/restaurant isn’t too heavy on the wallet either.
You can breakfast on organic free range eggs and smoked salmon, large field mushrooms on sourdough toast, a full organic English with free range Old Spot sausages, or you can go ‘healthy’, with a range of smoothies and their special recipe granolas.
Oxford
Oxford offers an extensive range of shops and restaurants. At the end of Queen Street lies The Westgate, a modern shopping complex. Further shopping centres are found at the Clarendon Centre (between Queen Street and Cornmarket), and the Golden Cross arcade next to the famous Covered Market.
Not far away lies the recently redeveloped Gloucester Green, next to the bus station, where a weekly fresh produce market is held.
Cheltenham Spa
Naturally falling into quarters, shopping in Cheltenham is a key activity. Well known High Street brands jostle for position in the main shopping area alongside the Regent Arcade and Beechwood Shopping Centre. The Promenade gives a great classic shopping experience leading up to the Montpellier & Suffolks area with distinctive individual shops selling everything from antiques to gifts and homewares, with diverse independent smaller traders along the Bath Road.
The Brewery is more of a leisure complex, with a fitness centre, Cineworld with IMAX and The Screening Rooms and a mix of restaurants. Out of town shopping can be found on the Kingsditch and Gallagher Retail Parks at larger version stores of High Street retailers.
Stow-on-the-Wold
If you love antiques then Stow-on-the-Wold is the town for you. With a variety of antique shops there is something for everyone.

Bourton has a charm all of its own at any time of the year.
Broadway
At the heart of the Cotswolds lies the quaint Broadway, a beautiful and historic village ideal for those who love picturesque landscapes, excellent cuisine, and rich cultural heritage.
Offering the perfect retail therapy for shopaholics with its impressive selection of fashion boutiques, home ware stores offering local handmade crafts and souvenir gift shops. For the serious spenders, strewn across Broadway High Street you’ll find an eclectic mix of high fashion outlet stores, Michelin star restaurants and antique art galleries, all are within short walking distance of one another.
Majestic Wine, Stow-on-the-Wold
Majestic is a well-known wine specialist. If you are looking for decent wine, they sell very good quality wine by the case less than 10 miles away from Bruern Cottages.
The store in Stow-on-the-Wold is located on Station Road and have a wide range of wine available. The store is open from 10 am to 7 pm, 8 pm on Thursday and Friday and 5 pm on Sunday and Bank Holiday.
Burford
A few miles away from Bruern Cottages, Burford is one of England’s most picturesque towns with its old stone houses, Tudor and Georgian frontages.
On the river Windrush, this beautiful town is popular for its history, its shopping and antiques.
Just outside the village, the famous Burford Garden Company store offers good shopping and lots of activities to entertain children.
