Daylesford Farm Shop, just 6 minutes drive from Bruern Cottages, is The Fortnum & Mason of the Cotswolds; somewhat pricey but it does sell high quality organic produce and is well worth a visit. Their fresh bread and patisserie, however, is reasonably priced. Their on-site café/restaurant isn’t too heavy on the wallet either.

You can breakfast on organic free range eggs and smoked salmon, large field mushrooms on sourdough toast, a full organic English with free range Old Spot sausages, or you can go ‘healthy’, with a range of smoothies and their special recipe granolas.

The store in Stow-on-the-Wold is located on Station Road and have a wide range of wine available. The store is open from 10 am to 7 pm, 8 pm on Thursday and Friday and 5 pm on Sunday and Bank Holiday.

A few miles away from Bruern Cottages, Burford is one of England’s most picturesque towns with its old stone houses, Tudor and Georgian frontages.

On the river Windrush, this beautiful town is popular for its history, its shopping and antiques.
