WEIR HOUSE: A HOLIDAY IN ITSELF
“We are an Australian family who choose the UK for our main holiday each year. We go to London and always have a week to ten days in the Cotswolds. This year we decided to have our first Christmas/ winter visit. We’ve stayed in many lovely homes throughout the Cotswolds, but this year we found Weir House at Bruern.
We have decided that this is going to be our adopted Cotswold home going forward. The home is brilliant on so many levels. When you arrive, you are greeted by a wonderful kitchen area chock full of bacon, eggs, cheeses, cakes, milk, wine, bread and jam. We choose self catering accommodation as we have specific eating needs/ allergies. The kitchen is an absolute dream. It is equipped for real cooking with a Magimix food processor and two brilliant ovens. The heated floor meant we were never cold and the huge dining table means everyone can spread out. Bedrooms are spacious with very comfortable beds and great en-suites. Parking is right outside the front door. The private garden is huge and a two minute walk to the gorgeous warm pool and very well equipped gym. The Childrens’ playground and playhouses are well maintained and set out. It’s winter here now, but I’m a keen gardener and I know they will be spectacular in the warmer months. I’ve just had a sensational Indian head massage with the very lovely Adrienne efficiently organised for me by Ziggy in the office. Thanks Ziggy!
These cottages are in a very quiet location yet a very quick drive to beautiful villages like Stow, Lower Slaughter and the popular Bourton-on-the-Water. Weir has two big living rooms. One has an enormous flat screen TV and the other a beautiful open fireplace with firewood provided. I love good laundries, and Weir doesn’t disappoint with Miele washer and dryer and a beautiful heated hallway with hooks for drying. I run a five star luxury holiday home myself, and I know what to expect. WEIR HOUSE, YOU HAVE NAILED IT. THIS AUSSIE FAMILY WILL BE BACK AGAIN AND AGAIN. SEE YOU MAY 2020.
