Excellent as always

Bruern is always a favourite of our. I have been going with my family for a few years now, and it never fails to please.
There are 12 cottages in the complex, however, it never feels as if you are on top of the next cottage. Each is individually and beautifully decorated, by the owner herself and the staff are utterly charming.

I would like to concentrate on Cope cottage, to which my partner and I visited on the last Bank holiday weekend, to celebrate our 7th anniversary.
Cope is wonderful. Super large bedroom, with pitched roof giving excellent ceiling height. French doors lead out onto a protected patio. Bathroom well equipped with all the small luxury amenities that you would expect. Good size towels, plus swimming towels. We didn’t actually use the facilities this time.
Extra duvets and pillow if needed.
The kitchen was so well stocked with every appliance you can imagine. Tea, ground coffee and sugar all provided.
The welcome basket was a delight. Milk, butter ( the real Farm variety) eggs, cheese, bread, sausage, bacon, marmalade as well as a lovely lemon drizzle cake and a delicious bottle of champagne!
The fire was set in the grate, so naturally we lit it, as it was a drizzly day and we relaxed in the barn style sitting room for the whole of Friday afternoon.
The cottages are in close proximity to delicious gourmet pubs, garden centres and the wonderful Daylesford Shop.
Clear instruction manuals, a plethora of wonderful books, ideas on what to do in the local vicinity and we were all set for a wonderful weekend.
I had two super cleaners in on Sunday morning to get the place ship shape again, before my guests arrived fir lunch.
I can not recommend this highly enough. Please do note that this is not a modern get away, but a charming rustic bolt hole for a relaxing country weekend!
