I have just spent the most wonderful 8 days in Weir House with all my family.. to celebrate my 70th birthday. There were 12 of us, 8 adults & 4 children .. 4 years & under.
I don’t know where to begin to thank you for such a lovely relaxing time. The attention to detail was amazing.. The welcome pack was really really generous. Esp the lemon drizzle cake when we first arrived… & the spring flowers in the sitting room… very thoughtful.
The children’s extras were amazing.. Stair gates.. Lovely wooden cots & camp beds ..changing mats, highchairs plus all the children’s crockery & cutlery in the pretty yellow gingham bags.. Even down to the foam door stops & the electric plug stops… everything had been thought of for the safety & well being of the children who had so much fun with the dolls house, the rocking horse & the dressing up clothes etc in the “house” under the stairs & the train track in the box under the hall table.. In fact we didn’t know the children were there half the time as they were so well occupied with all the toys!
The kitchen was amazingly well equipped.. Delicious bread, milk, butter, cheese, coffee, tea all provided.. We wanted for nothing and we loved sitting around the enormous table together & spent a lot of time in the TV room.
Then the bedrooms…wow!.. all were spectacular with beautiful decor..& bed linen. A lot of thought must have gone into the gorgeous colour schemes & layouts.
The weather was very sunny during our stay & we spent a lot of time in the garden..daily swimming, cycling, not forgetting the lovely play houses.. And of course the lovely villages nearby.
I know I have waffled on a bit but I can’t thank you enough for making our stay so exceptionally happy.
We all think that Weir House is the perfect luxury getaway for both adults & little ones.
We will definitely return.
