Farm Produce

A holiday is just the time to treat yourself to the luxuries life can bring. As well as the welcome basket that you will receive on arrival (details of which can be found by clicking here), you can also buy venison straight from the farm.

All of our venison is wild, and comes from these woods. The Roe, Fallow and Muntjac deer have a natural diet of forage and pasture and have spent their lives wandering happily around Bruern, Wychwood Forest and surrounding pastures. You may even have seen them in the garden.

The venison is frozen as soon as it is butchered, and it is hung and butchered as soon as it is killed. Alternatively, if you can order a week in advance, that can give us time to prepare it for you unfrozen, as it should be hung for five days before butchering to ensure it is tender. 

All venison can be ordered through the office, or online. We can also offer other meats such as lamb and pork, please do contact the office for more information.
